The exhibition design for 'Luigi Bonazza. Tra Secessione e Déco' at the Mart in Rovereto, curated by Alessandra Tiddia, was conceived to enhance the approximately 300 works on display (206 of which are by the artist) without ever overloading the space.

The stylistic language explicitly recalls the architecture of the Viennese Secession. In this vision, the rooms have been conceived as silent containers, intended to enhance and highlight the artworks rather than the designer's intervention.

The exhibition setup guides the public through a narrative path divided into ten chronological and thematic sections. The visual journey begins in an introductory gallery, enriched by works of Gustav Klimt and Franz von Matsch, which lead the visitor to the renowned Orpheus Triptych (The Legend of Orpheus).

The beating heart of the exhibition is the 'room of wonders', the main space of the show. Here, the visitor is immediately immersed in an intimate and internal dimension, in sharp contrast and detachment from the museum's exterior. The rigorous horizontal line along which the works unfold places them within an enveloping and almost 'sacred' space.

To foster an intimate dialogue between the observer and the art, the project cleverly plays with proportions and color palettes. Color accents and elements 'dropping to the floor' have been inserted to introduce the different rooms. These architectural elements are designed to connect the works (which are often positioned high up) with the natural perspective and physical space of the visitor, creating a profound continuity between the exhibited artwork and the eye of the beholder.
